I will say this though- it’s not like DC had some contract that prevented them from getting Rocksteady or Square Enix (well I’m not sure about the latter since they only did Asylum) to develop the game. It’s crucial that we get this game, because in all honesty, I feel like WB, DC, and CN are all hoping this game tanks.
Of course they are. If you look at their track record, me and my friends have been saying since the first unexpected hiatus that they were purposely trying to kill off the show.
Shitty DVD releases, long hiatuses, unexpected hiatuses, no promotion, hardly any merchandise (and even then there were a lot of typos and cancellations on the lines), weird commercials that didn’t pertain to the audience watching (so businesses wouldn’t want to pay to get their commercial on at that time), horrible time slot for target audience, etc.
They have set this show to die yet it has refused. That’s why we absolutely can’t let Legacy be a flop. Graphics or not (honestly, they look GOOD and IN THE STYLE OF THE SHOW when you SIT DOWN and LOOK at them), we have to make sure it does well. Also, remember there is actual canon plot involved that will answer lots of questions.
So we have to make sure this game gets a stellar reaction.

Analyzing Ted’s Room
Ok so here’s some shots of Ted’s room. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the DVD that we have NO concept art, NO development stories, and NO character designs or more deleted scenes and ideas. SERIOUSLY FURIOUS.
Anyway. But that’s where we come in. To analyze the HECK out of this movie :)
So here’s what I see in these shots:

I LOVE TED. Like almost as much as the Onceler. So this post was amazing~we rarely see Ted-analysis’s. And I’ve been looking for room screenshots too~
I wish sooo bad they would have started in his room like they mentioned in the commentary, and especially wish they would have given him a little song or even just the part in the original demo version of Thneedville (which so develops his character).
His part in that song shows that he is just another boy of Thneedville that has the same morals and all that. And that’s WHY when he like plants the seed at the end that he’s so SPECIAL. Because he was like just another kid but like he changed. And that’s what everyone in the town needed to do.
/done ranting.
But yeah the least they could have done was let him sing in Let It Grow.
BUT ANYWAY.
Thanks for putting this up~reblogging it for reference and stuff (:
You’re awesome :3 Ted’s pretty awesome too. I’m NOT knocking ask blogs (I’m really really not) but it always makes me sad that the fandom tends to be so Once-ler skewed, that Ted’s character gets skewed in headcanons as a whiny kid. There’s a reason they cut out Ted’s awesome solo in the intro that I may or may not sing to myself all the time cuz it’s super catchy.
Ted’s a great kid. He’s really respectful, and very noble, and admirable. His character is wonderful to me cuz I just don’t see those qualities in characters anymore.
I figured when I heard it that’s why they cut it out, because it sounded whiny and bratty. But I still really wanted that to be in there because I feel like it totally changes who he is.
Don’t you agree that it’s a much more impactful movie if he goes from being a spoiled tween to someone who cares and makes a change? Idk I just really like that idea….Because Ted is really someone special, like you said, I just wish they would have shown his transformation more, because that’s really all we know about him..that he’s special. And that in itself probably is why he gets shoved aside so much…we don’t really know about him, even though hes like, one of the protagonists. Almost all of his screentime is like…actiony stuff or romance with Audrey @__@ two of which situations where it’s hard to know how they feel really. I would have loved some monologue or more commentary on Oncelers story ;_;

I hate the idea of Damian Wayne. I hate the implementation of Damian Wayne into continuity. And I hate that Damian Wayne survived into The New 52 while other characters did not. (For the record, If Damian were exclusively an Elseworlds character, I wouldn’t have a problem.)
And yeah, I do hope…
Damian is such an amazing character. Out of hundreds of characters in the DCU, he is the one that I can relate to. The one that I understand. I get everything he says. I just know how he feels and I understand why he reacts in ways he does. Because I really connect to him. And he’s the only character I can do that with.
So it really hurts me when people are mean about him. Because he doesn’t deserve that. And I know tons of people just hate him because he’s new.. People always hate new characters. They always bitch and whine and moan about them. Of course I wasn’t really around to witness it at the time, and of course there wasn’t tumblr back then, but I’m sure people hated Jason and Tim when they became Robin (Jason to the point where they voted him for death, right?). It’s because people really want things to always stay the SAME. It’s annoying.
Things have to change when times change. Do you know how much the world is changing right now? It’s crazy. Comics have to modernize and move with those changes. Damian is such a modern Robin, in my opinion at least. And that’s what the series needs.
Sorry for this rant, it just really hurts me to see posts like this. Can I cheesequote the movie?
Maybe Damian isn’t the hero Gotham wants. But he’s the hero Gotham needs. >_>
Just watched episode 2 a little late, since I was busy with Free Comic Book Day yesterday.
